Computer Aided Design is now accepted as the way of storing plans and designs, allowing them to be easily controlled and updated as and when changes or features are added. The drawing office has changed; a small team of CAD draughtsmen can easily undertake the work of a large drawing office producing manually.

 

Modern CAD packages make it possible to create comprehensive 3D walk throughs or fly bys quickly and easily.

 

Existing paper drawings can easily be converted to CAD. This allows manipulation of old paper drawings and quick reprinting. Storing on CAD means no more archiving in large filing bins. At this stage it is also possible to incorporate metric details from old imperial details. Moreover, it is expedient to bring together any changes due to revisions in other equipment into the drawing at this stage (replacing obsolete imperial material for their modern metric equivalents as an example). CAD files can be emailed too; this saves you time and money when communicating with colleagues or customers.

 

The use of CAD greatly reduces drawing time while increasing the accuracy of the drawing. Every component in a design can be bought together and any design errors identified and corrected before manufacture.

 

TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONS

Technical Illustrations are very effective ways of imparting information. A visual communication incorporated in technical manuals and operating instructions or even issued separately.

 

They should not be confused with engineering drawings, which can be difficult to interpret by some people. Whereas a drawing will show every detail, illustrations depict exactly what is necessary and may even be slightly corrected to show various views.

 

They can show sectioned, cut away and transparent views of equipment to give internal views as well as depicting a process graphically.

 

Using PC’s, combined with Illustrator and Quark, we prepare concise documents incorporating detailed text with quality graphics to produce easy to read and comprehend documents.

 

We are not a design house who will present you with large costs or additional expenses. We are a small design team of professional designers providing a cost effective and accurate solution to your needs.
